Facility introduction
This is a historical traditional building and museum of decorative arts built in the early Taisho era.
If you would like to see beautiful things and visit only your favorite ijinkan, this place is for you.
Exhibitions such as real paintings, sculptures, furniture and furnishings were all made in 18 – 19 centuries and merged in the everyday living space.
You are welcomed by a guide and a maid at the entrance, which makes you feel you are invited to friend’s beautiful house.
In addition, there is a southern Italian style terrace in the south garden where a pool is centered and next to it is a café terrace surrounded by marble pillars from 19th century, flowers, sculptures and so on.

Recommended points
For the paintings, there are many Impressionist and Barbizon drawings, etchings, oil paintings such as Rousseau, Millet, Coro and Bonnard. Also there are original bronze and plaster of Claudion and Rodin’s.
Especially the Italian sculptor Victor Emone’s furniture and fireplace have a lot of Renaissance style sculptures and one of the best works. Inside the cabinet, you can get a closer look at silverware, tableware, gold-plated glass, and genuine antiques.
You also can the semi-underground wine cellar from the outside. After seeing the artworks, why don’t you have a rest at the café terrace in the south garden.
It was chosen as the third place for the Instagram spot ranking 2020 by one of the tourist sites.
